Dear Colleagues
Thanks to volunteers, donors, funders, staff, and researchers, we just
concluded our 12th major project in two years (that was on conservation and
community empowerment in the protected area of Wadi Al-Zarqa al-Ulwi – near
Salfit funded by UNDP/GEF/SGF). Now we focus on four new funded projects in
areas of Al-Makhrour (National Geographic), Wadi Qana (Belgium MRV),
Climate Change Education (City of Geneva), and building a community garden
(Rotary Club). We have several more pending applications and ongoing
projects. We could use your support so please visit our website (see
palestinenature.org and https://youtu.be/BPhFLOsEIM0) and connect with us
to see how we can work with you to enhance and accelerate work for people
and nature in Palestine and beyond.
[My sister’s book is out] Peace for a Palestinian, by Sahar Qumsiyeh. Sahar
Qumsiyeh was born into a loving Christian family in Jerusalem and raised in
Beit Sahour, near Bethlehem. Growing up in a country torn apart by
political upheaval, Sahar struggled with feelings of hopelessness and anger
as she watched her people being persecuted, tormented, and even killed. In
Peace for a Palestinian, Sahar shares her experience desperately searching
for peace and joy only to find that true peace lies not in external
resolution but in following the Savior. Whether your own obstacles are
great or small, Sahar’s message will help you discover that the true source
of peace and comfort is the same for all of us. The book can be purchased
from https://deseretbook.com/ or Amazon
