This Electric of Donald Trump brought me back to 2006
This Electric of Donald Trump brought me back to 2006 when the Palestinian people in Occupied Palestine voted for Hamas. Many voted for Hamas not because they believed in their stated doctrine, but as an opposition to Fatah. The Democratic Party and the Republican Party are like Fatah and Hamas.
They are both corrupt and they both think that because the system is set this way that they can do whatever they want without any repercussions.
Around 50% of the eligible voters voted in this election for a candidate of one of the two major parties. The same percentage of voters voted in the Palestinian election for either Hamas or Fatah. This meant that the rest of the people were not happy with either party but they had in their minds that they could not do anything about it, even though there were some decent 3rd party candidates that were running. Imagine if this 45%+ of these non-voters voted for the 3rd party candidate? Imagine what would have been the results. In the worst situation, it would have been a better option that voting for Trump or Clinton and the same scenario is in the Palestinian election.
Palestine is occupied by Israel and the United States is controlled by the special interest groups that are mainly Zionist or have Zionist leanings. In this, the greatest country on earth, I believe that people have the power and are capable of finding a better option that than the Democratic Party or Republican Party. It takes a lot of work to do and to get to a stage of breaking the taboo that a 3rd party cannot exist, but there is no reason that it cannot happen because the numbers are there to make it happen.
I am hoping that by electing Trump that tangible steps will be taken towards building a 3rd party and it is much easier here than it would be in Palestine, even though it is not impossible to do it there
